
The Nigeria Police Force has reiterated its dedication to staying ahead of criminals through intelligence-led policing, inter-agency collaboration, and community engagement.
DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the National Public Relations Officer, stated that the Force’s personnel have arrested eight high-profile suspects and recovered firearms, ammunition, and fabricated weapons in Kaduna State.
Kidnap Rescue Operation
The arrests followed the abduction of Hussaini Ibrahim from Jagindi Tasha Village, Jema’a Local Government Area.
Police launched a coordinated rescue operation, which led to the victim being abandoned by the kidnappers in a nearby forest, enabling his safe recovery.
Suspects Apprehended
Investigations identified and arrested four individuals connected to the abduction:
- Umar Yusuf Jabiri of Jagindi Tasha
- Buhari Muhammad, also known as “General,” from Bayya Village
- Ahmadu Nasiru of Gidan Waya
- Zakari Saleh
Weapons Recovered
During the operation, police recovered:
- One AK-47 rifle
- Two locally fabricated AK-47 rifles
DCP Adejobi urged citizens to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities promptly, and support the police in maintaining law and order.
