Foreign-based professionals have begun arriving at the Flying Eagles camp in Abuja in preparation for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, DAILY POST reports.
The team, led by coach Aliyu Zubairu, had established camp earlier this month for the second phase of their training.
Strengthening the Squad
Zubairu extended invitations to several overseas-based players following a disappointing performance at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Among those expected this week are Wilfred George, Christian Nwachukwu, Divine Onyemaechi, and Jonathan Spiff Asuzu.
Final Preparations and Travel Plans
The Flying Eagles are scheduled to leave the country next month for the final phase of their preparations.
They have been drawn in Group F alongside Colombia, Norway, and Saudi Arabia.
Tournament Dates
The 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup is set to run from September 27 to October 19.
