CP Isa made this known on Wednesday when he received executives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Abia State chapters, at the Police Command headquarters in Umuahia.
Support for Newly Elected Youth Leaders
The Commissioner pledged his collaboration and support to the newly elected NYCN and OYC executives, led by Mr. Smith O. Sylvanus and Mr. Eugene Okonta respectively.
Youths Urged to Lead by Example
Highlighting that most crime suspects in the state fall within the youth population, Isa charged the youth leaders to be role models and law-abiding citizens, setting positive examples for others.
Police Command Ready to Support Sensitisation Efforts
He further assured that the command would actively participate in youth sensitisation campaigns aimed at discouraging crime and promoting peaceful coexistence.
Youth Leaders State Purpose of Visit
In their remarks, the leaders of NYCN and OYC explained that their visit was to officially introduce their newly elected executives to the Commissioner of Police and to familiarize him with their vision and mandates.
