Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, has described ex-Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, as a “good guy.”
Remarks on Channels TV
Baba-Ahmed made the comment on Friday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where discussions centered on the coalition formed under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Willingness to Collaborate
The Kaduna-born politician, who has consistently dismissed the ADC coalition, stated that aside from Peter Obi, he would be open to working with Amaechi ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Rotimi Amaechi is a good guy. He is one of those I can adopt,” Baba-Ahmed affirmed.
Context of the Coalition
The ADC alliance is currently being championed by Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Peter Obi.
Clarification on Platform
Despite praising Amaechi, Baba-Ahmed stressed that he has no intention of joining the coalition under the ADC banner.
