Madagascar Claims Quarter-Final Berth
Madagascar became the latest team to qualify after defeating Burkina Faso 2-1 in their final Group B match on Saturday evening. The victory ensured their progression to the knockout stage.
Group B Standings
Madagascar finished second in Group B with 7 points from 4 games, behind group leaders Tanzania, who amassed 10 points. Third-place Mauritania also had 7 points but trailed Madagascar on goal difference.
Other Group B Results
Burkina Faso and the Central African Republic occupied fourth and fifth places in Group B, with 3 and 1 points respectively, after four matches, failing to advance to the quarter-finals.
