BUK Convocation Fee For Graduating Students

If you’re one of the lucky ones getting ready for convocation, you need to know the necessary payments and steps involved.
Convocation Charges and Payment Process
BUK requires all graduating students to pay a convocation fee before they can participate in the ceremony. This fee is to be paid via the Remita platform, which is the official payment gateway for most Nigerian universities.
To make your payment, follow these steps:
  • Visit the BUK Convocation Portal – Go to BUK Convocation Engine.
  • Then after you need to generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) – This is the unique number you will use to make your payment.
  • Make the Payment – You can pay online using your debit card or visit any bank to complete the transaction.
  • Print Your Payment Receipt – This will serve as proof of payment when you go to collect your academic gown.
Collection and Return of Academic Gowns
Once you have successfully paid your convocation fee, you can collect your academic gown at the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records (DEAR) office.
To collect your gown, ensure you bring:
Your payment receipt
Your student ID card or any other valid identification
Note: The academic gown must be returned on the same day of your convocation before 3:00 PM. If you fail to return it on time, you will be fined a fee of ₦10,000.
