Under the new agreement, Netflix will have the first opportunity to approve or reject any projects pitched by Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions before they approach other studios.
While first-look deals usually offer less money than exclusive contracts, they give producers greater flexibility.
Past and Upcoming Netflix Projects
Since joining Netflix, the pair have produced the documentary Harry & Meghan and the lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.
The latter showcased Meghan in California, entertaining guests, harvesting honey, and crafting bath salts.
Netflix confirmed a second season for the lifestyle series, along with a holiday special set to premiere in December.
Upcoming Holiday Special and Documentaries
The holiday special will feature Meghan hosting friends and family as they prepare festive meals, decorate, make gifts, and share laughs.
Later this year, Archewell Productions will also release a short documentary about an orphanage in Uganda.
Additional Projects in Development
The couple are producing a romance film adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel Meet Me At The Lake.
Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for this project.
Netflix Praises Harry and Meghan
Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, described the couple as “influential voices” whose stories connect with global audiences.
Meghan expressed pride in expanding their work with Netflix, linking it to her newly rebranded As Ever lifestyle brand, which includes rose wine and apricot spreads.
From Royal Life to Hollywood
Harry and Meghan were married in 2018 in a high-profile royal ceremony before stepping away from the British royal family in 2020.
After relocating to California, they signed their first Netflix deal, reportedly worth $100 million, though the figure was never officially confirmed.
