Cassie Ventura finished her fourth and final day of testimony in the high-profile sex-trafficking trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
She appeared before a federal jury in Manhattan, where she shared new details about her experiences and legal settlements connected to the case.
Ventura revealed she is set to receive a multimillion-dollar settlement from the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
The hotel was the location where surveillance footage captured a 2016 beating of Ventura by Combs.
Multimillion-Dollar Hotel Settlement Revealed
During her testimony, Ventura said she expected the settlement amount from the InterContinental to be around $10 million.
When defense attorney Anna Estevao asked if the settlement discussions were concluded, Ventura confirmed that they had reached a final agreement.
Representatives for the InterContinental Hotel declined to comment on the matter.
Outside the courtroom, Ventura’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, did not confirm the exact settlement figure but stated, “The record is the record.”
The 2016 Incident and Video Evidence
At the trial, the jury viewed footage from 2016 showing Combs physically attacking Ventura in a hotel hallway.
Prosecutor Emily Johnson explained that Combs had paid a hotel security guard $100,000 in cash to obtain the footage.
The video had previously been published by CNN, prompting Combs to publicly apologize for his actions.
Previous Settlement with Combs Disclosed
Ventura also disclosed that she received $20 million from Combs in 2023 to settle her civil lawsuit against him.
Her lawsuit accused Combs of rape, physical abuse, and coercion throughout their more than ten-year relationship.
The suit detailed the 2016 InterContinental Hotel attack and alleged that Combs paid the hotel $50,000 for the surveillance footage.
Ventura’s Reflections on Her Experience
During her questioning, Ventura expressed deep regret over her involvement with Combs’ so-called “freak offs” — drug-fueled sex marathons.
She stated she would return the $20 million settlement if it meant never having participated in those events.
Ventura explained, “If I hadn’t done freak offs, I would have had agency and autonomy.”
She emphasized the emotional toll and effort it has taken to regain control over her life.
