A Brief History of FUNAAB

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) was established on January 1, 1988, following the dissolution of four federal universities of technology by the Nigerian government. FUNAAB was created under a mandate to enhance the agricultural education, research, and development of agriculture in Nigeria. Since its creation, the university has grown to become one of the top institutions for agricultural sciences and related toics in West Africa.

Every year, thousands of applicants seek admission into FUNAAB which makes the Post-UTME screening process a crucial step for prospective students.
FUNAAB Post-UTME/Screening Form 2025/2026
Admission form for the 2025/2026 academic session, FUNAAB has officially opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening process for qualified candidates. This screening is necessary for students that are seeking admission into the university.
Eligibility Criteria
For you to qualify for the FUNAAB Post-UTME screening prospective candidates must meet the following requirements:
UTME Candidates
Candidates must have selected Federal University of Agriculture FUNAAB as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME. Candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 160 in the UTME exam (some courses may require higher scores).
Candidates must posses at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Agricultural Science, in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
For DE candidates you must have at least two A-Level passes in relevant subjects and also ND, HND, or NCE holders must have a minimum of Upper Credit or Distinction in related courses.
How to Apply
Candidates interested in applying for the FUNAAB Post-UTME screening should follow these steps:
Visit the university Portal
Go to www.funaab.edu.ng and click on the Post-UTME application link.
Payment of Application Fee
You are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 via the Remita platform.
Payment can be made online or at designated banks using the generated Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
Complete Online Registration
You must fill out the Post-UTME application form with your personal and academic details and also upload scanned copies of passport photographs, UTME result slip, O’Level results, and other required documents.
Print Confirmation Slip
After you have successfully registered then print the screening schedule slip for reference purposes. 
Screening Date and Venue
The FUNAAB Post-UTME screening is expected to take place between August and September 2025. The university will announce specific dates, and candidates are required to monitor the FUNAAB admission portal for more updates. The screening will be computer-based (CBT) and held at the university. Candidates are to come early and bring their registration slip, JAMB result, and original credentials for verification.
Documents Required for Screening
Candidates must bring the following documents to the screening venue:
  • JAMB UTME Result Printout
  • WAEC/NECO/NABTEB O’Level Result
  • FUNAAB Post-UTME Registration Slip
  • Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
  • Recent Passport Photograph
  • Local Government Identification Certificate
Admission Process and Cut-Off Marks
FUNAAB determines its departmental cut-off marks based on candidates’ UTME scores and Post-UTME performance. After the screening, the university will publish the list of successful candidates on its portal.
Candidates who have met the required cut-off mark will proceed to the next phase of the admission process, which includes verification and clearance.
