The 2025/2026 academic session at Gombe State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Kaltungo, has been officially scheduled.
Fresh and returning students will register from Monday, 25 August 2025 to Friday, 5 September 2025, spanning two weeks.
Late registration for fresh students is set for Monday, 8 September to Friday, 12 September 2025, lasting one week.
Lectures will begin on Monday, 8 September 2025, and run until Friday, 19 December 2025, for a total of 14 weeks.
Fresh Students: Matriculation and Orientation
The matriculation ceremony for new students will take place on Wednesday, 17 September 2025.
This will be followed by orientation on Thursday, 18 September 2025, lasting one day.
Mid-Semester Break and First Semester Exams
A mid-semester break and continuous assessment will run from Monday, 10 November to Friday, 14 November 2025, lasting one week.
The first semester break is scheduled for Monday, 22 December 2025 to Friday, 2 January 2026.
Revision classes will take place Monday, 5 January to Friday, 9 January 2026, followed by first semester examinations from Monday, 12 January to Friday, 23 January 2026.
Marking of exam scripts will last a minimum of two weeks, from Monday, 26 January to Friday, 6 February 2026.
Departmental and Academic Board Meetings
Departmental and school board meetings are scheduled for Monday, 9 February to Friday, 13 February 2026.
The Academic Board Business Committee Meeting on Examination will be held Monday, 16 February to Tuesday, 17 February 2026, and the Academic Board Meeting on Examination is scheduled for Thursday, 19 February 2026.
Second Semester: Lectures and Exams
Second semester lectures will commence on Monday, 23 February 2026, running until Friday, 22 May 2026 for 14 weeks.
The mid-semester break is planned for Monday, 6 April to Friday, 10 April 2026, lasting one week.
Revision classes will be held from Monday, 25 May to Friday, 29 May 2026, and second semester examinations will run Monday, 1 June to Friday, 12 June 2026.
Marking of exam scripts is scheduled for Monday, 15 June to Friday, 26 June 2026.
Second Semester Break and Board Meetings
The second semester break is set from Monday, 15 June to Friday, 28 August 2026, lasting 9 weeks.
Departmental and school board meetings will take place Monday, 29 June to Friday, 10 July 2026.
The Academic Board Business Committee Meeting on Examination is scheduled Monday, 13 July to Tuesday, 14 July 2026, followed by the Academic Board Meeting on Examination on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
Annual Leave and Next Session
Annual leave for academic staff will be observed from Friday, 17 July to Friday, 28 August 2026.
The first semester of the 2026/2027 academic session will begin on Monday, 31 August 2026.
Public holidays will continue to be observed as officially declared.
