Hellas Verona Signs Nigerian Striker Gift Orban on Loan from Hoffenheim

Hellas Verona have acquired Nigerian forward Gift Orban on a loan deal from Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim, DAILY POST reports.

The Serie A team holds the option to make the move permanent for €8 million next summer.

Orban’s Recent Career Move

Orban had joined Hoffenheim in January from French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais.

The 23-year-old striker impressed initially, scoring four goals in his first six appearances for the German side.

Challenges at Hoffenheim

Despite his strong start, Orban faced injuries and a dip in form that led to reduced playing time.

He concluded his stint at Hoffenheim with four goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Contract Details with Verona

If Hellas Verona opts to make the transfer permanent, Orban’s contract will extend until June 2029.

The Serie A club now looks forward to boosting their attacking options with the Nigerian forward.
