The University of Abuja is now inviting applications into its Remedial Science Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This special one-year programme is designed to help students qualify for admission into science-based undergraduate courses at UNIABUJA.
Applications are open to eligible candidates across Nigeria, and forms are now available online.
Who Can Apply for UNIABUJA Remedial Science Programme
To be eligible, you must have taken any of the following O’Level examinations:
WAEC (SSCE)
NECO
GCE O’Level
NABTEB
You should have sat for the following five subjects:
English Language
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology or Agricultural Science
Applicants must have at least three credit passes in the listed subjects.
These credits can be obtained in one or two sittings.
Programme Duration and What to Expect
The Remedial Science programme runs for one academic session, which covers two semesters.
At the end of the session, you must:
- Sit for and pass the internal remedial exams.
- Score the required mark in the UTME.
- Apply for the UNIABUJA post-UTME.
- Meet all entry conditions for your chosen science course.
How to Apply for UNIABUJA Remedial Science Programme
The application form costs ₦10,000 (excluding bank charges).
Follow these simple steps to apply online:
- Visit the UNIABUJA Portal.
- Click on the application access link.
- Choose Remedial using the direct remedial application option.
- Fill in your personal details:
- Surname
- First Name
- Other Names
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Click Next to view the payment preview page.
- Click Generate RRR.
- Click Make Payment to go to Remita.
- Pay with a MasterCard or Visa Card.
- After payment, you will be redirected to the portal and given an application number.
- You’ll also receive the number via SMS.
- Log out.
- Go to Main Login, enter your application number as username and surname as password.
- Complete the rest of the form and submit.
Important Things to Keep in Mind
- Use a valid email address and phone number throughout the application.
- Do not share your login details or RRR code.
- Check your email and phone regularly for updates from UNIABUJA.
Deadline for Application
The final date to submit your application is Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Apply early to avoid last-minute issues.
