Jessie J has revealed that she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
The 37-year-old British singer shared the emotional news in a video posted to social media today.
She expressed gratitude that the cancer was detected early and is hopeful about her treatment journey.
“Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding onto the word early,” Jessie told her fans in the heartfelt video.
Diagnosis Came Before Her Musical Comeback
Jessie revealed that her diagnosis came just before she released her comeback single, No Secrets, on April 25.
The track marked her return to the music scene after a four-year hiatus.
During this time, she became a mother to her son Sky, now two years old, with basketball star Chanan Colman.

The singer shared that she plans to undergo surgery following her performance at the Summertime Ball in London on June 15.
“I’m getting to keep my nipples. That’s good,” she quipped.
“It’s a weird topic and a weird situation,” she added, candidly sharing details with her fans.

In her video, Jessie admitted she struggled with whether or not to go public with her diagnosis.
