The lucky ticket was purchased through the Absa Banking App for just R37.50.
The player personally chose her winning numbers: 10, 32, 34, 40, 48, with a bonus ball of 14.
Winner Initially Ignored Calls
Speaking at ITHUBA’s Johannesburg office on Monday, the woman revealed she had ignored repeated calls from an unfamiliar number, assuming it was telesales.
When she finally answered on Friday, her bank instructed her to visit the nearest ITHUBA branch, without revealing the prize amount.
Life-Changing Realisation
It was only at ITHUBA’s office that she discovered she had won the massive jackpot.
Still in shock, she said the win would completely transform her life after years of living on one income due to her husband’s unemployment.
Plans for the Prize
The winner shared her intention to rebuild her late parents’ house as a restored family home.
She also plans to buy her first car – a long-time dream.
