Actor Jon Voight has revealed a new proposal to revive the struggling US film industry.
The plan was presented to President Donald Trump earlier this week.
Voight described Trump as a passionate supporter of entertainment and the country.
He said the President will play a key role in “making Hollywood great again.”

According to Voight and his manager Steve Paul, the White House is now reviewing the proposal.
They said they are ready to collaborate with unions, studios, and streaming platforms.
Their aim is to ensure the US remains a global leader in film production.
This news follows Trump’s recent Truth Social post criticising the state of the industry.
He claimed foreign nations are luring US filmmakers with incentives.
Trump warned that this poses a national security risk.
He believes it is a form of messaging and propaganda.
Voight’s proposal appears to respond directly to those concerns.
This isn’t the first time Trump has focused on Hollywood.
Back in January, he appointed Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as special envoys.
Their mission is to restore Hollywood’s global influence.
Trump promised the return of “The Golden Age of Hollywood.”
He said his envoys would be his eyes and ears in the industry.
Trump emphasised that the film industry has lost significant business to foreign countries.
He expressed a desire to bring productions back to America.
On Monday, Trump seemed open to feedback from the film industry.
He told reporters that he would consult with studio executives before imposing any tariffs.
