The All Progressives Congress (APC) has demanded the cancellation of the ongoing by-election in Shanono-Bagwai constituency and the rerun election in Ghari constituency, both in Kano State.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, issued the call in a statement on Saturday.
Allegations of Violence and Disruption
Morka alleged that armed thugs caused widespread violence and disrupted the electoral process at several polling units.
He claimed that voters were forced to flee from polling areas as security personnel struggled to contain the attacks.
Concerns Over Credibility of the Elections
According to the APC spokesperson, the current situation makes it impossible to conduct a free, fair, and credible election in the affected constituencies.
