Katsina Police repel bandit attack on Kankara DPO residence

The Katsina State Police Command successfully prevented an alleged attack on the residence of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Kankara Local Government Area.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported the incident, emphasizing the prompt response by police officers on guard duty.

According to Makama, the attack occurred around 6:00 p.m. on August 30 at the Local Education Authority (LEA) Quarters, where the DPO resides.
Armed suspects attempted to infiltrate the area but were met with immediate resistance from the police.

A brief exchange of gunfire ensued, forcing the attackers to retreat into the nearby bush.
No casualties were recorded during the confrontation.

Authorities are actively pursuing the fleeing bandits to prevent further threats to the community.
