Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have killed seven armed bandits during a raid in Baba community, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Intelligence-Led Raid
The operation, which lasted for more than two hours on Thursday, was carried out after security forces received credible intelligence on the movement of criminals terrorising farming communities in the area.
Bandits Overpowered
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, seven of the attackers were neutralised, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
Items Recovered
During the raid, troops recovered four motorcycles belonging to the bandits, which were being used to launch attacks on villages.
Call for Public Support
Residents were urged to continue sharing timely information with security agencies to strengthen counter-banditry operations, particularly during the ongoing rainy season when rural communities are most vulnerable.
