London – Chelsea’s Cole Palmer Withdrawn from XI vs West Ham After Warm-Up Injury

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer was withdrawn from the starting lineup to face West Ham United at the London Stadium on Friday night after experiencing discomfort during the warm-up. A member of staff escorted him off the pitch.

Estevão Steps In

Palmer was replaced by Willian Estevão, who makes his first Premier League start since joining the Blues in the summer transfer window.

Midfield Setup

The 28-year-old Brazilian lines up in midfield alongside Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernández, giving manager Enzo Maresca a refreshed look in the middle of the park.

Maresca’s Tactical Changes

Maresca made three changes from the squad that played out a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last week. Liam Delap starts up front with João Pedro, while Jamie Gittens drops to the bench.

Defensive Adjustments

At the back, Tosin Adarabioyo returned from injury to replace Josh Acheampong, while Malo Gusto came in for club captain Reece James.
