Jessica Parker has revealed behind-the-scenes details about how her close friend Andy Cohen ended up guest-starring in season 3 of And Just Like That…
The actress, 60, shared the story during a Q&A session hosted by Threads at il Buco al Mare in Amagansett, N.Y. on Aug. 11.
How the Cameo Came to Life
According to Parker, series co-creator Michael Patrick King pitched the idea.
“Michael either told me in person or over the phone, ‘There’s a shoe salesman, and it should be Andy,’” Parker recalled. She immediately agreed, and King, 70, called Cohen directly.
The Watch What Happens Live host didn’t hesitate — “Andy said yes immediately,” Parker revealed.
Cohen’s Role in Season 3
Cohen, 57, appeared in the episode as a shoe salesman named Daniel, marking a playful nod to his earlier involvement in the franchise.
A Throwback to ‘Sex and the City’
This wasn’t Cohen’s first time sharing the screen with Parker. Over 20 years ago, he had a small, unnamed part in a season 6 episode of Sex and the City, also playing a shoe salesman.
A Friendship Onscreen and Off
Known for their long-standing friendship, Parker and Cohen’s cameo moment added an extra layer of fun for fans — and Parker revealed they “did a lot of takes” while filming together.
