Nigeria Labour Party Faction Urges Members to Ignore Peter Obi’s Orders

By-election: Disregard Peter Obi’s directives – Labour Party

The Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party (LP) has called on party members to disregard directives from Peter Obi ahead of by-elections across Nigeria.

In a statement signed by factional chairman Julius Abure, the party emphasized that it remains fully committed to contesting the by-elections.

Abure stressed that Nigerians now understand Peter Obi’s true character.

Obi Encourages Support for ADC Candidates

DAILY POST recalls that Peter Obi had urged his supporters to back candidates from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in forthcoming by-elections across several states.

Allegations of Misleading Directives

Abure described Obi’s instructions as misleading, mischievous, and delusional.

He urged loyal party members to ignore what he called a malicious directive and to vote for Labour Party candidates as intended.

“The attention of the leadership of the Labour Party has been drawn to a statement by the party’s former presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi. Don’t listen to him,” Abure said.

He added, “Nigerians have come to know who Peter Obi really is.”

Commitment to Labour Party Candidates

The faction reiterated its support for the party’s candidates, encouraging members to cast their votes in favour of the Labour Party despite Obi’s opposition.
