The School of Community Health under the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, has officially opened applications for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This specialized health program leads to a Higher Diploma in Community Health and begins in September 2025.

Admission Requirements for OAUTHC School of Community Health

- Be a certified Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
- Hold a first degree or HND in Community Health Science, Public Health, or Health Education
- Be fully registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN)
- Possess a valid practicing license from CHPRBN
Two-Year Program Eligibility
The two-year program is tailored for individuals with foundational training and significant work experience in community health.
To qualify, you must:
- Hold a Diploma in Community Health
- Or have a CHEW Certificate plus at least five years of documented work experience
- Be registered with CHPRBN and have a valid practicing license
Selection Process and Important Dates
Admission into the program is competitive and based on performance in both written and oral assessments.
Applicants must sit for a written entrance exam on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Those who pass will proceed to an oral interview on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
All applicants are required to bring:
- Original copies of their academic credentials
- A valid CHPRBN practicing license
- Two printed copies of their application slip
