Excitement is building across South Africa as the PowerBall and PowerBall Plus jackpots soar to a combined total of R85 million.
The PowerBall prize currently stands at R37 million, while PowerBall Plus has climbed to R48 million ahead of the next draws scheduled for Friday, 29 August.
This follows Tuesday, 26 August’s draws, where no one claimed the jackpots.

The draws will be broadcast live on Friday evening, and results will be available shortly after on official platforms, including the National Lottery website and The South African website.

Winners who receive R50,000 or more are offered free trauma counselling from professional psychologists and financial advice from accredited advisors.

PowerBall Game Details
For PowerBall, players select five main numbers from 1 to 50, plus one PowerBall number from 1 to 20.
Each board costs R5.00, and draws take place every Tuesday and Friday.
The record PowerBall jackpot in South Africa reached R232,131,750.69 in February 2019.
PowerBall Plus Overview
PowerBall Plus provides players a second chance to win.
By paying an additional R2.50 per board, players enter the PowerBall Plus draw.
Prizes are slightly lower than PowerBall, but the odds are the same.
