On Sunday, it was confirmed that Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has added Stormers No 8 Evan Roos to his national squad.
Roos joins the 55-man group ahead of their fixture against the Barbarians and the Incoming Series matches against Italy and Georgia.
This call-up follows the unfortunate injury to Bulls loose forward Cameron Hanekom.
Hanekom suffered a hamstring injury during the United Rugby Championship (URC) semi-final against the Sharks.
As a result, Erasmus moved quickly to reinforce his options at eighthman.
Roos was part of the initial alignment camp in Cape Town back in February.
He has already earned seven Test caps for South Africa, with his last appearance coming against Portugal in Bloemfontein during the 2024 Incoming Series.
After that match, he underwent shoulder surgery, which kept him out of action for several months.
His return marks a timely boost for the Springboks as they gear up for a packed international schedule.
The national squad will report for duty in Johannesburg on Sunday afternoon.
They are set to begin on-field preparations on Monday.
With less than three weeks to go until the international season kicks off, momentum is building fast.
