Donald Trump has branded Elon Musk “the man who has lost his mind” as their public feud reached new levels of hostility.
Despite Musk’s attempt at reconciliation, the former president has made it clear he has no interest in rekindling their alliance.
The controversy began Thursday when Musk launched a series of public attacks against Trump.
He reignited the former president’s links to Jeffrey Epstein, implying Trump was hiding key information.
In a now-viral post, Musk accused Trump of being in the “Epstein files” and sarcastically said, “Have a nice day DJT!”
This comment reportedly became the final nail in the coffin for any potential peace talks.
Earlier, hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman had urged the two men to reconcile “for the benefit of our great country.”
Musk replied to Ackman saying, “You’re not wrong,” which many took as a signal of potential regret.
But Trump was unmoved.
In a call with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, he dismissed the idea of a truce.
“I’m not particularly interested,” Trump said when asked about the possibility of speaking to Musk.
He then added, “He’s the man who has lost his mind.”
These comments follow recent reports that Musk has allegedly used drugs including ecstasy and magic mushrooms.
The White House also confirmed there were “no plans” for a call between the two titans.

Republican lawmakers quickly circled the wagons around Trump following Musk’s Epstein accusations.
Texas Congressman Pat Fallon expressed dismay, stating, “Hopefully we never have to answer questions about tweets like that from Elon again.”
Representative Chip Roy said bluntly, “Elon crossed the line today.”
Another lawmaker, Troy Nehls, added, “Those conversations should be taking place behind closed doors.”

Musk Attacks Steve Bannon Amid Calls for Deportation
The situation worsened when former Trump advisor Steve Bannon called for Musk’s deportation.
Bannon claimed Musk’s alleged drug use could violate his immigration status and demanded the government seize SpaceX.
Musk fired back harshly, calling Bannon a “communist rd” and “peak rd.”
His comments drew immediate backlash and deepened the crisis.
Democrats Slammed for Flip-Flopping on Musk
Senator John Fetterman criticised Democrats for suddenly supporting Musk after his attacks on Trump.
He called it hypocritical given past criticism of Tesla and Musk’s politics.

Peter Navarro, a key Trump trade advisor, brushed off Musk’s past involvement in the White House.

Despite the chaos, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson expressed hope for reconciliation.
“I believe in redemption,” he told CNN.
He acknowledged ongoing communication with Musk and called him a “friend.”

Isaacman NASA Nomination Cancelled Amid Internal White House Drama
The feud appears to have been triggered by more than public posts.
Trump cancelled Elon Musk’s choice for NASA chief—Jared Isaacman—reportedly due to political donations.
Isaacman, a close Musk ally, had supported Democratic candidates, which did not sit well with Trump’s personnel chief, Sergio Gor.
According to sources, Gor delivered Isaacman’s donation records directly to Trump.
“This was Sergio’s out-the-door ‘f*** you’ to Musk,” a White House official said.
