Helldivers 2 recently arrived on Xbox Series X|S, complete with cross-platform support.
The update allows fans across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC to squad up, making the game one of the most widely accessible co-op shooters available.
New Update Into the Unjust Arrives September 2
Arrowhead Studios has confirmed that the next major Helldivers 2 content drop, titled Into the Unjust, will launch on September 2, 2025.
The update focuses on liberating Hive planets, introducing underground missions, new enemy variants, and expanded environments.
Subterranean Missions and Fog Hazards
The new missions take squads into vast cave tunnels crawling with Terminid threats.
Players will encounter Hive Lung infestations that generate dense fog, creating dangerous visibility challenges known as the Gloom.
Expect to face new enemy types such as Terminid Warriors, Bile Spewers, and Chargers, alongside a new aerial menace—the Dragonroach, which attacks from above with burning bile.
Fresh Mission Types Revealed
Into the Unjust will introduce unique objectives, including escort missions for a mobile oil rig and operations to destroy subterranean Hive Lungs.
These scenarios will test both strategy and teamwork as squads adapt to unpredictable combat zones.
Dust Devils Warbond Launches September 4
Two days after the update, on September 4, 2025, players will gain access to the new Dust Devils Warbond.
This expansion will bring additional weapons, armor, boosters, stratagems, and cosmetic rewards.
New Weapons and Gear in Dust Devils
Highlights from the Dust Devils Warbond include:
- Weapons: AR-2 Cayote rifle, G-7 Pineapple Grenade
- Booster: Desert Stomper
- Stratagems: S-11 Speargun, EAT-700 Expendable Napalm, M5-11 Solo Silo
- Armor: DS-42 Federation’s Blade, DS-191 Scorpion
- Emote: Raider’s Cheer
- Patterns: Rattlesnake skins for vehicles, exo suits, and drop pods
How Warbonds Work in Helldivers 2
Warbonds act as the game’s version of a Battle Pass.
Players earn Medals during missions, which can then be spent to unlock rewards progressively.
While some Super Credits can be earned in-game, others may require real-money purchases, with premium Warbonds typically costing around 1,000 Super Credits.
Looking Ahead to Future Content
Helldivers 2 has already established itself as one of the best co-op shooters of 2025, with continuous updates planned.
With Into the Unjust and Dust Devils on the way, Arrowhead Studios looks set to keep the player base engaged with fresh challenges and rewards throughout the year
