The former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, has strongly criticized the newly formed coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as a ploy to mislead Nigerians.
Remarks on National TV
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Baba-Ahmed insisted that the coalition lacks sincerity and is simply “deceiving Nigerians.”
Call for Obi’s Return to Labour Party
He reiterated his loyalty to the Labour Party, stressing that he would like to see Peter Obi return to the party and contest the 2027 presidential election under its platform.
Focus on Bigger Issues
When pressed on the role of opposition figures such as Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Peter Obi in the coalition, Baba-Ahmed shifted attention to what he termed “more fundamental national issues” that deserve urgent discourse.
