Gombe ADC Chairman Denies Suspending Members, Calls Reports False

The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Nasarawo Ward, Gombe State, Alhasan Ibrahim, has dismissed reports alleging that his office recently suspended or expelled members of the party.

Call for Unity Among Party Members

Ibrahim urged ADC loyalists in Gombe and across Nigeria to remain united and focused on strengthening the party ahead of future political activities.

No Suspension or Expulsion Issued

In a statement released to journalists on Thursday, Ibrahim clarified that neither his office nor the ward executive had issued any suspension or expulsion letters to party members.

Allegations Described as Political Sabotage

He maintained that the reports were a deliberate attempt to destabilise the party and undermine its Acting National Chairman, Hon. Nafiu Bala.

No Grounds for Disciplinary Action

The ward chairman emphasized that he had not been accused of any offence or anti-party activity that would justify suspension or expulsion.

Allegations Linked to Expelled Ex-Member

According to Ibrahim, the claims were fabricated by Auwal A. Barde, a former member expelled from the ADC years ago, describing them as baseless and misleading.

Commitment to Fairness and Transparency

“My office is committed to upholding fairness, transparency, and due process in all its dealings,” Ibrahim stated.

Public Urged to Disregard False Claims

He stressed that the expulsion reports were aimed at tarnishing his image and weakening the party, urging the general public to disregard such misinformation.
