JAMB Warns 2024 IJMB & JUPEB DE Candidates to Upload Results or Lose Admission
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has sent a strong warning to all 2024 Direct Entry (DE) candidates who registered with awaiting results from the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB) and the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB). JAMB has made it clear that any candidate who fails to upload their result immediately after it is released will not be considered for admission.
JAMB’s Directive on Result Upload
During the 2024 DE registration, some candidates applied with awaiting results (AR), hoping to submit them later. Now, JAMB is reminding these candidates that they must go to an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to upload their results as soon as possible.
JAMB has also stated that just like UTME candidates, DE candidates will not be considered for admission if their result status remains ‘awaiting result’ after the deadline. If you do not upload your result, your application will be automatically disqualified.
Why This Update is Important
The reason behind this strict policy is to ensure that all candidates meet the required admission standards before they are considered. Universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education in Nigeria rely on JAMB’s database to process admissions. If your result is not there, your application cannot move forward.
Also, many universities will soon begin their admission process, and only candidates with complete documents will be shortlisted. That is why JAMB is urging all affected candidates to take action now.
What to Do Next
If you are one of the candidates who registered with an awaiting result, follow these simple steps to upload your result:
- Visit the nearest accredited JAMB CBT centre.
- Inform the officials that you want to upload your IJMB or JUPEB result.
- Provide your JAMB registration number and other necessary details.
- Ensure your result is properly scanned and uploaded to the JAMB portal.
- Get confirmation from the CBT centre that your result has been successfully uploaded.
Consequences of Not Uploading Your Result
Candidates who fail to upload their results will not be considered for admission into any institution in Nigeria. Their JAMB admission status will remain incomplete, making them ineligible for the admission process. This is a serious matter, and JAMB has warned that there will be no excuses.
Final Advice
If you are an IJMB or JUPEB DE candidate and your result is out, do not wait until it is too late. Visit a CBT centre immediately and upload it. If you do not do this, you may miss out on your admission this year.
Also, share this information with other candidates so that nobody misses out due to lack of awareness.
