The event, which took place from April 13–15, 2025, promised attendees an immersive experience filled with interactive mini-games, exclusive meet-and-greets, and mystery gifts.
However, many ticket holders, who paid a steep $1,000 per ticket, were left unsatisfied with the experience.
Attendees expected high-end surprises and memorable interactions but were instead met with unmet promises.
Some reported being confined to their hotel rooms for up to 24 hours, waiting for “mystery gifts,” only to receive items that were already publicly available, including branded merchandise and boxes of chocolates.
The discrepancy between what was advertised and what attendees received led to widespread frustration.
In response to the growing dissatisfaction, Resorts World Las Vegas acknowledged that the event had fallen short of expectations.
The resort issued an apology and offered full refunds to those who attended, promising that refunds would be processed within three to five days.
Furthermore, the resort removed all event descriptions and promotional material from its website, signaling that the event did not go as planned.
MrBeast, known for his viral YouTube challenges and philanthropic efforts, also responded to the backlash.
He issued a personal statement expressing regret over the disappointing experience and promised to make amends.
As part of his apology, MrBeast invited affected fans to tour his studio, hoping to make it up to those who had been let down by the event.
This incident adds to a series of controversies surrounding MrBeast. While he is widely known for his charitable acts and his successful business ventures, including his snack company Feastables, he has also faced legal challenges in the past.
This includes lawsuits from participants in his reality shows and misconduct allegations involving a former collaborator, though the latter were dismissed following an independent investigation.
