Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has appealed to Nigerians to offer prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, other leaders, and security operatives to receive divine guidance in steering the nation towards peace and security.
Appeal Made During Courtesy Visit
The governor made the call in a statement issued by his media aide, Mamman Mohammed, on Friday, when the leadership of the Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi Foundation visited him at the Government House in Damaturu.
Power of Prayers in Governance
Buni stressed that sincere prayers bring wisdom and strength to leaders, enabling them to deliver good governance, while negative prayers weaken leadership and hinder progress.
Lessons from Yobe’s Experience
He noted that Yobe State had witnessed the impact of prayers in the fight against insurgency and urged citizens not to relent in praying for the country’s peace and stability.
Foundation Pledges Support
In his remarks, the Foundation’s Chairman, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, explained that their members, including representatives from Morocco, Algeria, and other regions, were in the state for the Maulud anniversary of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani.
He assured that the group would continue to pray for Yobe, Nigeria, and its leaders to achieve peace and prosperity
